Language Lounge

I’m going to talk about some merits and recommendation of going to Language Lounge.

First of all, we can improve our language skill through talking with people come from different countries, and it sometimes helps us to study English well. They are native speaker, so we can learn exact language.

Second, through talking with them, we can enjoy cultural exchange naturally, and then you will experience differences of cultures between Japan and foreign without studying abroad.

Then, there are a lot of interesting plans, for example, Christmas party, game events, and some festivals. Many students don’t visit there feeling shy, but I think you can learn some valuable experiences in Language Lounge. First, Let’s try to talk with foreigners having a courage.

Earthquakes in Japan

When an earthquake occurs in Japan, what should we do? I’m going to talk about reaction when it occurs.
First of all, if you feel a shaking in your home, you should hide yourself under the table to defend your body. It is also good to defend your head with the cushion, futon, etc.
Next, you should make a habit of turning off the gas tap if the shaking is weak. We fear the fire that occurs after the earthquake. Then, it is also important to secure some exits because we cannot open a door because of a transformation due to the shaking.
Last, watch the news on TV or internet to get correct information about the earthquake, and confirm the intensity and information about tsunami.
If all people react like these, dead by earthquake will decrease. Let’s confirm it again if you already know these.

Presentation about Les Trois Glorieuses

I am going to talk about events during three days.
First day, there is an opening ceremony, and Wine Knights appear there.
Next day, there will be a biggest event of this festival. It is an auction that decides the price of the wine in this year by the result of the auction.
And last day, a great dinner party is held in Meursault to celebrate the good harvest. Participants can taste new wine. All people can attend the party, but if you want, you have to reserve it in before years. So it is difficult to join it.

Presentation about Cologne Cathedral

We are going to talk about a world heritage in Germany. First, I will introduce the history of Cologne Cathedral. The beautiful temple is third generation. It was constructed in 1880. It took 632 years to make completely. I think it’s so long time. It was selected cultural heritage in 1996.
The temple was attacked by America, and the symbol of it, stained glass was broken. Then, it had a crisis of withdrew from list of heritage. Now, it still has a lot of problem.

Presentation About Little World

Introduction: Good afternoon everyone. We researched about Little World, so I am going to introduce you about there.
Little World is one of a large international museum in Japan, and you can see a culture from all over the world there. Now 22 countries and 33 facilities are exhibited. It was opened in Inuyama City in Aichi Prefecture on March 18, 1983.
The admission fee is like this. I think it is cheap, and it becomes cheaper if you make a group. If you often visit there, I recommend you to buy annual ticket.
Conclusion: Our presentation was about The History of about Little World, and how to enjoy there. Did you have interest in Little World? It is only part of all. You can visit there without reserve because it locates near place from here.

1. STAR WARS

Setting: Anakin Skywalker fall in DARK SIDE and he must be fight his friend Obi Wan Kenobi.

Director: George Lucas

Genre: Action adventure, SF.

Recommendation: This movie is made from 6 episodes, and I have watched all series. Episode 3 is the most favorite story of all for me. These action scenes of this movie were so nice and impressed me. I will recommend you to watch starting from Episode 4 to 6, and next, Episode 1 and 2 before watch Episode 3.

2. INDIANA JONES
Made in 21 June 2008 (Japan)

Actors: Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen

Setting: Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones is called go to the mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.

Director: Steven Spielberg

Genre: Action adventure

Awards: Nominated for BAFTA Film Award. Another 3 wins & 25 nominations

Recommendation: I will recommend you this movie because it is very exciting. So, it may have to watch this movie for people who like hard action. This is also made from some series, so you may had better watch the first film of these.

3. Back to the Future

Made in 7 July 1990 (Japan)

Actors: Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Mary Steenburgen

Setting: Marty McFly travels back in time riding time machine to save his friend Doctor Emmet Brown who killed by Buford in1885.

Director: Robert Zemeckis

Genre: SF, Action

Award: 4 wins & 8 nominate

Recommendation: This movie is a little old one, but it was very fun, too. I think you can understand most of the story with language in English because it is used to easy words.
